When Is Telemedicine Appropriate for Your Child’s Care?

In most cases, when your child is not feeling well, an in-office visit is recommended because a thorough physical exam is essential for making an accurate diagnosis. However, telemedicine can be a useful option in certain situations, especially for initial assessments. Our providers may use telehealth to help determine whether your child needs to be seen in person right away or if care can safely begin remotely.

We also offer telemedicine appointments for behavioral and mental health concerns, such as ADHD, anxiety, or depression, when appropriate and if preferred by the family.

Our priority is to offer convenient access to care without compromising quality. Telemedicine visits are billed to your insurance in the same way as in-person visits and are subject to the same co-pays and coverage policies.

If you’re unsure which type of visit is best for your child, feel free to call our office. We’re happy to guide you.
